I started reading a “creativity” book<\/a>, which inspired me to document a day with my big camera. \u00a0Yes, the phone camera is fine, but the big one is better.<\/p>\n

It was a Saturday, and I’ve taken to grabbing photo\/blogging\/me-time at lunchtime until Finnur heads off to his football-time. \u00a0Once my solitary stay at a cafe downtown ended, I took Emma and then Bjarki out to play in the remains of the snow. \u00a0We ended up at the local mall where we bought Ash Wednesday costumes (it’s our Halloween day). Dirty sleet on the ground, and oh look, a building crane right downtown?!<\/p><\/div>\n

The new building that’s been attached to the library on the left, and the other building on the right. It used to be a car park.<\/p><\/div>\n

More building cranes, as I cross the street towards the library, and look to my left.<\/p><\/div>\n

It’ll be interesting to see how the area develops. Until then: Traffic issues.<\/p><\/div>\n

One of our (rather small?) coast guard vessels off in the distance.<\/p><\/div>\n

I only just realized that the reason why I think this house looks unusual is the ever shrinking windows on the top floor.<\/p><\/div>\n

There weren’t a whole lot of people there that day. It can get very busy, as it’s right down town and pretty popular with tourists.<\/p><\/div>\n

My me-time ended, so home I went to hang out with the kiddos. Emma agreed to go out and play in the snow.<\/p><\/div>\n

My attempt at a snow house. I couldn’t figure out how to make the roof! The snow was perfect for building though, wet yet malleable. Notice the black snow shovel in the lower corner. It would disappear overnight.<\/p><\/div>\n

Bjarki showed up, so I decided to take the two kiddos sledding at the top of our street. I handed Bjarki the camera…<\/p><\/div>\n

Emma decided the sled was too heavy for her, so Bjarki ended up hauling both up.<\/p><\/div>\n

Good times. A minute later she forgot to turn before hitting the fence, and hit the fence. She was a little shook up, but went downhill once more before we called it a day.<\/p><\/div>\n

Bjarki took photos of all the car licence plates on the way down the street. Some of the cars are a bit sorry looking.<\/p><\/div>\n
