February arrived with slightly longer days, and unseasonably warm, yet sometimes wild, weather. \u00a0The adults left the house both with and without the children, a trampoline flew by, and we walked a bit more than in previous months. (34 images total)<\/p>\n

Saturday 4 February 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

This is Harpa aka the swanky concert and convention venue by the ocean. Finnur and the kids dropped me off as they were going to visit the “IT mass” (aka UTmessan<\/a>) while I hid away at a nearby cafe.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>

That evening I dragged Finnur out of the house for a Dinner and Movie! The dinner was at Forr\u00e9ttabarinn<\/a>, and the movie was La La Land<\/a> (which was aptly la-la). \u00a0It was a nice night out! \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div>\n

It’s always nice to go to Finnur’s parents’ place and get waffles on a Sunday.<\/p><\/div>\n

Daycare Q&A with Emma on the Day of Dacare. Question: Why are we in daycare? Answer: Just because we are in daycare, I don’t know. Question: What do kids do at daycare? Answer: Play. Question: What do we learn at daycare? Answer: Letters, making forms, playing outside, and also playing together.<\/p><\/div>\n

Bjarki after accidentally getting a haircut by the salon-owner for the first time. We paid a pretty penny, but the results were superior to many a haircut before. (As in, also after the salon gel had been washed out.)<\/p><\/div>\n

Wednesday 08 February 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>

Wednesday morning came with VERY windy weather. When I came home at 16:34 this is what I found lying next to our house. Yup a trampoline, which turned out to have originated from that pale green house above our house.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

Upon further inspection, we found the safety-net rods inside our yard…<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

… where they’d managed to make a deep hole into the grass before coming to a stop by the trees.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

Trampoline springs strewn like litter all over the grass.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

One of the rods came with a towel!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

We found this blue circle in our front yard. I was very happy it didn’t crush the new plant!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

I was in a big hurry when I took the first photos, so the day after I went looking for more damage. It looks like those rods danced on our fences!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

More scraping. \u00a0That turned out to be about it, damage-wise. \u00a0We were incredibly lucky nothing else was damaged, and that nobody was hurt!!!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

Bizarrely the outdoors strawberry plants appeared to be alive still!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\"<\/a>

On Wednesday evening the owner of the trampoline came and cleared it away. I tried my best to be polite, although I wasn’t feeling very polite. He claimed the trampoline was fastened down with heavy pavers. I walked past his yard the day after, and counted three, maximum four (it was a little ways away) pavers, which is a joke when it comes to fastening such things down. I was not amused.<\/p><\/div>\n

Thursday 9 February 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

Emma, Bjarki and I took a walk up to the Buddha stupa. There we met more boys from our neighborhood.<\/p><\/div>\n

Deciding what to do next. The end result was that Emma and I walked to a nearby store, while Bjarki took a friend home to chill.<\/p><\/div>\n

Emma celebrated her 4th birthday at daycare that day, so she went home with a crown!<\/p><\/div>\n

Like often before I found myself charging my batteries downtown. This time I parked under city hall (this is a bridge from city hall to land), because there is a good lunch-time restaurant nearby, and also because the Ingress game encouraged such behavior…<\/p><\/div>\n
