We spent the first week of January fighting the flu. \u00a0Finnur was the first to fall, and then we all got it, except Anna, who still gloats about it!<\/p>\n

Some of us did manage to crawl out of the house on 6 January to shoot up a few fireworks and say goodbye to the year at Finnur’s parent’s place. \u00a0The remainder stayed at home and cracked open the ginger bread house that had been taunting the kids for a couple of weeks.<\/p>\n

Finnur and I also managed to drag our coughing tails to a new-years party, which was a lot of fun. (12 images total)<\/p>\n

Bjarki utterend the words “I want to be sick, then I’ll get to watch a lot of TV”, and lo and behold the day after he got the flu, and slept for a day. \u00a0He did get to watch a lot of TV, but he figured the general discomfort really wasn’t worth it.<\/p><\/div>\n

Friday 06 January 2017<\/strong><\/p>\n

Goodbye holidays! The 6th is the last day where it’s legal to shoot up fireworks. At that point Finnur was done with the flu, Bjarki was mostly done, but Emma and I were still dealing with it.<\/p><\/div>\n

Gatorade-fueled kids about to smash the ginger-bread house, as promised. \u00a0It turned out to be very hard to smash, so we ended up just breaking pieces off around holes.<\/p><\/div>\n

After suffering mental wounds following the US election this past fall, I decided to start playing more games and being less obsessed with news.
