[Photos from 20-21 August 2016, posted online 25-ish October 2016. \u00a0We had a little bit of snow this morning, a first this winter<\/del>. Haha, very funny! \u00a0It’s now 6 NOVEMBER. \u00a0The snow stuck around for 15 minutes, it’s been borderline warm since then!<\/em>]<\/p>\n

Our friends, Holla and \u00d3li, tend to be such busy people in the summertime that the only way to meet up with them is to drag them off to the summer house at Laugarvatn. \u00a0So we did! (38 images total)<\/p>\n

Hamburgers are a staple of any trip to the summer house.<\/p><\/div>\n

We’ve yet to fulfill our promise of bringing no computers to the summer house. How would we survive?!<\/p><\/div>\n

Holla and \u00d3li took off into town ahead of us. We decided to eat an early dinner at the Lindin restaurant<\/a> in Laugarvatn. “Laugarvatn” means “Bathing-Lake”, referring to the fact that hot water seeps into the lake.<\/p><\/div>\n

The chaotic back seat. We recently swapped the kids about to separate Emma and Bjarki, as they can’t leave each other alone when bored.<\/p><\/div>\n

The restaurant is in that blue house.<\/p><\/div>\n

We went inside, ordered, and then sent the kids out with the big camera to hang out by the lake.<\/p><\/div>\n

It was a beautiful day.<\/p><\/div>\n

That building there is the Fontana hot-tub\/sauna place<\/a>. It derives all its heat from a hole in the ground a little ways away.<\/p><\/div>\n
