The last weekend of our summer holiday, and the first working week, went by in a flash of snapshots.<\/p>\n

Emma was adorable, we met a new human, we had dinner bracketed by handyman-jobs, I stole quiet moments where I could, the big kids returned to horse camp, and I attended a 40th birthday party! \u00a0(27 images total)<\/p>\n

Friday 05 August 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anna’s feet, and the sad state of our living room. Tidying up is such a waste of energy with kids around to untidy!<\/p><\/div>\n

Out biking, and all of a sudden a bunch of random kids rode past her!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Hmmm...<\/a>

Hmmm… probably time to get the next bike in line ready. That one’s too small!<\/p><\/div>\n

Saturday 06 August 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"We<\/a>

We finally managed to go visit the newest member of the extended family. The older daughter of Finnur’s oldest sister had a baby this summer, making Finnur a grandmother-brother!<\/p><\/div>\n

Such a cutie pie!<\/p><\/div>\n

The proud grandmother-brother.<\/p><\/div>\n

The sisters with the wee one!<\/p><\/div>\n

Later in the day we visited Solla and Gunni. Our arrival inspired such can-do-ness that Finnur and Gunni ended up installing curtains in their living room!<\/p><\/div>\n

After dinner the can-do-ness continued, as the two tall guys installed a light fixture in the kitchen!<\/p><\/div>\n

Monday 08 August 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Emma's<\/a>

Emma’s daycare didn’t reopen after the 4-week-long summer vacation until at noon, so I took the Monday off work. I managed to squeeze in 35 minutes to myself between running errands like a headless chicken. It was nice!<\/p><\/div>\n

Tuesday 09 August 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"The<\/a>

The big kids were signed up for horse camp for the remaining two weeks until school would start. I again took to picking Emma up early to bring her to the stables at the end of the day.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Fleeing<\/a>

Fleeing the home in the evening at Cafe Pallett in Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur<\/a>. I discovered I quite liked going elsewhere to work on my photos\/blog. Also, I desperately needed a break from the kids and the house of things-to-do!<\/p><\/div>\n

I went out for a short slow jog<\/a>, and saw a small rainbow! \u00a0It’s sort of visible there in the mid-sky.<\/p><\/div>\n

Friday 12 August 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Oatmeal<\/a>

Oatmeal drenched in cinnamon and milk for breakfast. It’s great not to have to eat breakfast at home, as it saves time I don’t have.<\/p><\/div>\n

Bjarki with some friends at the end of the day with their horse camp medals. (We have so many medals now!)<\/p><\/div>\n

Horse-feeding, yet again.<\/p><\/div>\n

I took the kids swimming, but first we got the car cleaned!<\/p><\/div>\n

In the evening I attended the 40 year old birthday party of a good friend of mine.<\/p><\/div>\n

The sewing club, minus two. Also, I spent August fighting with my hair. Grumble!<\/p><\/div>\n

Helga is a sporty one, so she has a lot of friends!<\/p><\/div>\n
