I was just done<\/em> with painting after finishing the outside of the house<\/a>, so to give\u00a0Finnur peace to continue the seemingly endless task of staining wood, I took the kids to the farm-animal\/family park in downtown Reykjavik<\/a>. \u00a0<\/p>\n

While we were there, a reminder popped up for a trip to the F\u00e1kasel Horse Park<\/a> with some of our Icelandic friends from California. \u00a0Finnur wanted to keep on working, so I took the kids, and we had a grand time! (21 images total)<\/p>\n

We usually eat the crappy food they offer at the family park, but this time I decided to venture outside the park, to the adjacent botanical garden and the upscale cafe<\/a> that’s hidden in there.<\/p><\/div>\n

Oh dear, it was not a good first visit. The lemonades were weird and didn’t taste good at all (got replacements for them all) and the price was among the highest I’ve seen. The cakes were pretty good though…<\/p><\/div>\n

The big kids went hunting for Pokemons for a bit, and while Emma and I\u00a0were searching for them, we\u00a0walked past these one-footedly-sleeping geese.<\/p><\/div>\n

The drive to the F\u00e1kasel horse park took less than an hour.<\/p><\/div>\n

After dinner. Waiting for pokemons and the horse theater show to begin.<\/p><\/div>\n
