[Photos from Thursday\u00a014 July 2016, posted online 22 July 2016. \u00a0Back at the cafe downtown, while the kids are out walking and playing Pokemon Go!<\/em>]<\/p>\n

[UPDATE on 23 July<\/strong>: Added two photos of Finnur and Bjarki on a roller-coaster towards the bottom of the post.]<\/p>\n

The kids began the day with a water battle, and then we drove back to town and visited the local Tivoli (amusement park). \u00a0We ate a snack beforehand, and had dinner afterwards, which I believe represent the only proper restaurants we visited on the whole trip! (30 images total)<\/p>\n

The kids discovered a water-gun, which attached to regular plastic bottles. A water battle ensued!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"After<\/a>

We drove back into Stockholm a little later. \u00a0After getting a bit lost while finding a parking spot, and scratching our heads over the parking spot signage (what did people do before online translations?!), we finally made it to the Bla Porten Restauran<\/a>t.<\/p><\/div>\n

The features a lovely garden to eat in.<\/p><\/div>\n

A couple of houses away was the entrance to the Grona Lunds Tivoli<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Our<\/a>

Our family members have very different opinions on what is “fun”. The boys like major thrills, while the girls like minor thrills. (We have such sensitive inner ears! ) Therefore, we split up along genders the whole time we were there, so I don’t have photos of the boys.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"That<\/a>

That tall fall-tower on the left is where the boys went. Technically, Bjarki needed to be 140 cm to be allowed to ride the fall-tower, but the measuring stick was on the small side, so he was allowed inside, even though he was about an inch too short. Lucky guy! \u00a0They went three times!!!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Meanwhile,<\/a>

Meanwhile, Anna valiantly waited with Emma in the lines for the small-kid-rides, while I stood around and took photos.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"On<\/a>

On the zig-zaggy train.<\/p><\/div>\n

Anna spotted this train on the roof of a house by where we were standing in line for the …<\/p><\/div>\n

\"The<\/a>

… teacup ride which was the only ride I went on… and somehow I managed to sprain my back\/shoulder riding it! \u00a0No more jogging for me this trip!<\/p><\/div>\n

There were a lot of people there, but the lines were still manageable so it was ok.<\/p><\/div>\n

Emma was hungry, we got ourselves some ice cream.<\/p><\/div>\n

We moved to a different area to eat the ice creams, but there were even more people there!<\/p><\/div>\n

Meanwhile, Bjarki and Finnur were having fun on their own!<\/p><\/div>\n

By 7 pm we decided to call it a day, and the kids all went on the merry-go-round one last time.<\/p><\/div>\n

Looking towards the entrance to yet another attraction, the Skansen<\/a>. It turns out almost ALL of Stockholms things-to-do are packed onto the same parcel of land.<\/p><\/div>\n

The only time we went out for dinner<\/a> the whole trip!<\/p><\/div>\n

I was there. \ud83d\ude42<\/p><\/div>\n

The food at Ulla Winbladh<\/a> was pretty good, although Anna didn’t like her Swedish meatballs, or any other dish instead, to the despair of our waitress. Oh well…<\/p><\/div>\n
