After our ship museum excursion the day before<\/a>, we decided to have a quiet-ish day, and not drive anywhere far.<\/p>\n

The highlights were me jogging to a nearby public beach, where Finnur and the kids met me. \u00a0Unfortunately, the weather wasn’t nice enough for us to hand around for long, but Bjarki gave it his best.<\/p>\n

In the evening, I took Anna on an adventure trip into Stockholm, via a drive to a nearby train-station, and a 30 minute train-trip, to see a friend of mine, Stina<\/a>, sing jazz in a converted vine-cellar of a bar! \u00a0Good stuff! (17 images total, 1 video)<\/p>\n

Earlier in the day, though, I jogged to a nearby beach<\/a>, where Finnur and the kids had planned to meet me. The ducks got there first.<\/p><\/div>\n

I just barely managed to snap a photo of Bjarki running to me from the car. (Anna was too quick!)<\/p><\/div>\n

The beach wasn’t very big, or populated, because the wind was blowing quite a bit. \u00a0It was still warm, but not that<\/em> warm.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Emma<\/a>

Emma fell asleep in the car, so Finnur and Anna took off for a bit, while Bjarki kept on wading into the water.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Eventually<\/a>

Eventually he gave up due to the cold, but we’d come so unprepared that while we waited for the car to return, he ended up wearing my tall sports socks for warmth since his pants were soaking wet. Planning-Fail!<\/p><\/div>\n

I wonder what those two tall smokestacks spew out?<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Finally,<\/a>

Finally, we were saved!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Back<\/a>

Back at home base, with Emma trying a small scooter. I think this is where Anna and me drove off to go\u00a0shopping at a nearby outlet mall, but no photos exist.<\/p><\/div>\n

After dinner, in the train about to head to Stockholm.<\/p><\/div>\n

We entered at the very end of the line, so the train was very empty!<\/p><\/div>\n

We arrived pretty late, and ended up sitting in a corner behind some drums until intermission.<\/p><\/div>\n
