We can still trick Emma into napping in the afternoon by driving her around for a bit. \u00a0We like to do so before we’re having visitors over for dinner, or visiting someone for dinner. \u00a0Usually she falls asleep in five minutes, but this time she was super wired, and took half an hour to nod off. \u00a0Therefore I ended up in our back-country, which I found to be surprisingly pretty.<\/p>\n

Also, this was the week Emma had chicken pox, and she spent most of it at her grandparents’ place. (7 images total)<\/p>\n

Sunday 17 April 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Emma<\/a>

Emma took a long time to fall asleep so I ended up in the back-country to our fair city. I’d never been there before! \u00a0This is the parking lot where you park to go walk up on Helgafell<\/a>.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

\"Interesting<\/a>

Interesting rock formations. I didn’t exactly plan on ending up in photo-land, so all I had was my phone.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"The<\/a>

The route I took goes past a lot of horse-stables, and as I was leaving the area, a whole group of tourists crossed the road. Awwww…<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Emma<\/a>

Emma sound asleep.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"In<\/a>

In the evening, we visited some friends, and played pinochle. The first game started out with a fantastic meld! (This means, we won that round.)<\/p><\/div>\n

Monday 18 April 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Emma's<\/a>

Emma’s chicken pox was still going strong, so I stayed with her at home in the morning. In the afternoon she went to her grandparents’ place, where she essentially spent the entire week recuperating.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Thankfully,<\/a>

Thankfully, she never got all that many pimples, so she was a pretty happy camper, most of the time.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
