Tuesday was a lovely day, and almost warm enough to skip a jacket… but not quite. The kids hung out in the sandbox for a bit, until we hit kitty litter.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

\"When<\/a>

When I picked Emma up from daycare (I can do that now!), the teachers had styled Emma’s hair like Pippi Longstocking’s. She liked her hairdo, but got very cross when she was forbidden to leave the daycare playground ahead of me. She a lot faster than me still.<\/p><\/div>\n

The next morning, one of the hairbands had broken, so Emma insisted I re-do her hair. Since this never happens, I tried to take her photo, but she wasn’t really in the mode for modelling, especially out in the morning cold.<\/p><\/div>\n

Saturday 16 April 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"On<\/a>

On Saturday morning it became apparent that Emma’d come down with chicken pox (as warned, too late, by daycare). This was frustrating because a month earlier I’d called the health clinic to make a vaccination appointment, only to be told the entire country was out of chicken pox vaccine! I was told to call back in mid-April…<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Bjarki,<\/a>

\"Emma's<\/a>

Emma’s been doing ok, in spite of all her spots. Her energy is a little lower, and occasionally she’ll cry after bumping a spot against something, but it hasn’t been as bad as I remember my chicken pox being.<\/p><\/div>\n
