Finnur and his siblings share access to a summer house his late grandparents built at Laugarvatn. \u00a0According to The Online Speadsheet, it was our turn, and since the weather forecast was nice, we decided to venture out into the country-side a bit.<\/p>\n

Finnur busied himeself with fixing some piping issue under the house, while the kids and I erected the trampoline.<\/p>\n

To help ease our loneliness, our friends Gu\u00f0r\u00fan og Snorri (their kids were busy in town!)\u00a0arrived\u00a0around dinner time on Saturday, ate dinner, played a fun board game, and then took off after lunch on the Sunday.<\/p>\n

Sunday turned out to be really nice weather-wise, a couple of kids ended up in the underwear on the trampoline, while I face-sunbathed, in a jacket, and under a blanket. (11 images total)<\/p>\n

The kids on the newly erected trampoline. We’ve torn it down, and put it up so many times, that we have the process down to a science!<\/p><\/div>\n

Sunday 10 April 2016<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Late<\/a>

Late morning calmness. Emma wasn’t very happy with the linear TV programming, but it was better then nothing.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"After<\/a>

After computer-time was declared over, the smaller kids went and jumped around. Meanwhile, the teen read a book in her bunk.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Sunbathing-time!<\/a>

Sunbathing-time! Well, at least a little bit of Vitamin D pick-up.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"For<\/a>

For a short while, only underwear remained on the trampoline, but then the cold wind started blowing again. \u00a0That’s Icelandic spring and summer for you: Warm, if you get shelter from the wind.<\/p><\/div>\n

Bubble time!<\/p><\/div>\n

Bjarki sulkily not sure what to do next.<\/p><\/div>\n

Bjarki got this Labyrinth<\/a> game for Christmas, and he’s very good at it. \u00a0Happily, I also enjoy playing it tremendously.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Finnur<\/a>

Finnur took the kids to the hot-tub place at Laugarvatn, while I cleared and cleaned the house for our departure. (Sadly, I can’t go swimming for a bit until my latest leg-hole heals a bit better.) \u00a0The view during a quick break was nice. \u00a0I found that my limit was about 15-20 minutes of walking about, and then I had to sit down to elevate my leg, and rest my back, which was unhappy with my funny walking style.<\/p><\/div>\n

After I was done, I had about an hour of peace and quiet on the patio, before the hoard returned, and we took off home. I may have sunbathed some more!<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
