My digging into the photo-vaults continues. \u00a0This time it’s October 2015<\/a>.<\/p>\n

This post has me driving my mom to the airport, us visiting friends for dinner, me going downtown to look at some art and hanging out at a new cafe, and the kids being cute. (27 images total)<\/p>\n

Thursday 01 October 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Dropping<\/a>

Dropping mom off at the airport, as she goes to visit the Bournemouth-ers.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

By the check-in counter. She had to wear her heavy shoes so her bag would make the weight-cutoff!<\/p><\/div>\n

Saturday 03 October 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"Dinner<\/a>

Dinner at Ragnar’s and Agnes’. A lovely time was had by all!<\/p><\/div>\n

Sunday 04 October 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"I<\/a>

I went for a little trip by myself downtown. The aim was a little coffeehouse\/exhibition house I’d been meaning to visit for a while.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"It's<\/a>

It’s called Hannesarholt<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"I<\/a>

I was there mostly to check out an exhibition by a friend of my aunt’s, \u00d3l\u00f6f.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"16<\/a>

16 works on display, and most of them sold already. Well done, \u00d3l\u00f6f!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"\u00d3l\u00f6f<\/a>

\u00d3l\u00f6f paints watercolor pictures. I particularly liked her nature scenes with ravens.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"The<\/a>

The cafe rooms are lovely. There were enough people there that I felt bad photographing them, so I mostly didn’t.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"There<\/a>

The small coffee shop is located in one of the rooms, and I recall it weirdly not having a fancy coffee maker, just an all-in-one machine. \u00a0The waitress notified me that an event was about to take place, so I decided not to buy anything. \u00a0It involved this older lady, who is a famous Icelandic actress.<\/p><\/div>\n

Instead I decided to walk around the house. \u00a0The second floor has small conference rooms, and this nice sitting room.<\/p><\/div>\n

Walking up to the attic. Woolen art pieces were also on display.<\/p><\/div>\n

Since Hannesarholt was about to get crowded, I decided to move to a more quiet location. This is Cafe Babalu<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n

Now we’re talking!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Pretty<\/a>

Pretty neat looking place. \u00a0Nice and friendly, and not overly designed.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"I<\/a>

I even managed to work on my photos a bit. Charged up my introverted batteries even.<\/p><\/div>\n

Back home, it was selfie-time for Bjarki.<\/p><\/div>\n

Not sure why Bjarki is pointing to Emma’s mouth.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Anna,<\/a>

Anna, apparently unhappy about having been made to (mostly) clean up her floor.<\/p><\/div>\n

The day ended with me making labels and sewing them on three pairs of woolen mittens grandma Anna had graciously and speedily made for Emma upon request.<\/p><\/div>\n

Monday 05 October 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n
