{"id":15428,"date":"2015-11-27T21:20:33","date_gmt":"2015-11-27T21:20:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/?p=15428"},"modified":"2016-03-21T23:12:32","modified_gmt":"2016-03-21T23:12:32","slug":"bjarkis-advent-gymnastics-meet-2015","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/2015\/11\/bjarkis-advent-gymnastics-meet-2015\/","title":{"rendered":"Bjarki&#8217;s Advent Gymnastics Meet 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[<em>Photos from Friday 27 November 2015, posted online 20 March 2016. \u00a0The spring meet is less than a month away..!<\/em>]<\/p>\n<p>I&#8217;m digging up old stuff again. \u00a0And yes, this was the day Finnur departed on his twice-yearly, at-least-two-weeks-long, work-trip to California, an my life became significantly busier.<\/p>\n<p>This was also the day Bjarki&#8217;s gymnastics group had their &#8220;meet&#8221;, where they show what they&#8217;ve been practicing, and get graded by judges. \u00a0This was around dinner time, so Finnur&#8217;s parents adopted Emma for the night, and she got to sleep over. \u00a0(I remember me and the big kids eating take-away pizza for dinner.)<\/p>\n<p>The weird thing about this meet was that Bjarki&#8217;s group <em>was the only one present<\/em> in the whole gym! \u00a0It must have been the result of some sort of a scheduling nightmare, because there were multiple groups running in the slot before his slot, and there were hoards of kids still to perform over the weekend.<\/p>\n<p>But it was sort of nice having the room so peaceful, even though it was a little weird.
