Today was an “aunt and cousins”-day. We started out at R\u00edkey’s place (her grandfather and my grandmother were siblings, I think that makes us cousins) where we ate lots of yummy stuff from the bakery. Also there were her sister, Dagr\u00fan, and later on their mother, Eyr\u00fan, joined in the fun. R\u00edkey and Gestur had their second child some 6 weeks ago, and what a cutie-pie! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n

Our second stop of the day was at my aunt Hulda’s place, where we were invited for dinner – huge hamburgers, Canadian-style. The kids played together great, and afterwards the whole crowd crowded into the back-house where my brother N\u00f6kkvi and his girlfriend, J\u00f3hanna, now live (and are the proud owners of a new washing machine, congratulations!! \ud83d\ude42 . It didn’t take long before Guitar Hero was in full swing, although we had to leave on song 2 to put Bjarki to bed.<\/p>\n

As evidenced by the drops on the window, today was rather wet,
but still mild. Apparently rain has been in very short supply this summer,
resulting in dried up grass and wilted newly-planted flowers. Crazy!<\/div>\n
