Saturday 22 August 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

Anna and Emma at the Subway stop leading out of the city. Our destination: the summer house in Laugarvatn with some friends.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

Enjoying a scrumptious dinner with Ragnar, Agnes and kids.<\/p><\/div>\n

Sunday 23 August 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

The kids being obnoxious to each other. Seven kids wanting to jump is a lot.<\/p><\/div>\n

Anti-social teenagers practicing their craft.<\/p><\/div>\n

There was also wrestling! All in good fun though.<\/p><\/div>\n

Monday 24 August 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"First<\/a>

First Day of School! Well, sort of. It was the “pick up your schedule and see which room you’ll be in”-day. Bjarki was a little tired and apprehensive.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Bjarki's<\/a>

Bjarki’s in a class of about 30 kids, split into four groups, and\u00a0they have two teachers, and two adjoining rooms. Every month the groups rotate between teachers.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Anna's<\/a>

Anna’s turn.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Adorably,<\/a>

Adorably, Anna’s classroom has a mixture of large and small furniture. \u00a0She’s in a class of 23 kids.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"For<\/a>

For some reason we then ended up at Ikea at the end of the day.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"And<\/a>

And then there was the labeling. So happy Anna can be trusted to label her own stuff!<\/p><\/div>\n

Thursday 27 August 2015<\/strong><\/p>\n

\"After<\/a>

After a lot of ho-humming and wonderings, I finally dragged Bjarki to the doctor’s office to have his sinuses checked. The doctor kindly ordered an x-ray, which was conveniently located on the floor above.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Bjarki's<\/a>

Bjarki’s head. How does anybody read heads or tails out of this?!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"To<\/a>

Spooky! \u00a0To cut a long story short, Bjarki was found to have a nasty sinus infection, even though his nose was no longer running. Antibiotics time!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"We<\/a>

We finished this day of errands with getting Anna a haircut.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Adorable<\/a>

Adorable munchkin!!<\/p><\/div>\n

I was inspired by the good weather, and some photos of people being productive on Facebook, to actually go out and slather staining on the neglected deck.<\/p><\/div>\n

These two are related.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"More<\/a>

More staining! Our balcony was looking very sad, so it got spruced up a bit.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"It's<\/a>

It’s looking like we need to paint the house itself next summer.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Summer<\/a>

Summer flowers barely hanging in there after two dry weeks while we were abroad.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Neglected<\/a>

Neglected strawberry plants.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"But<\/a>

But I found one yummy strawberry!<\/p><\/div>\n
