My stubborn blogging of our DC vacation is finally coming to an end, with our trip back home. \u00a0The trip\u00a0was uneventful, and it was nice to land shortly after midnight for a change (not at 6 am) so we could all collapse straight into bed around 2-3 am, and stay there for as long as we wanted!<\/p>\n

We thank Elsa and \u00der\u00e1inn to the Moon and back for their hospitality! \u00a0We had a fantastic time! \ud83d\ude42 (9 images total)<\/p>\n

Departure picture. Not only were we about to drive to Dulles airport, but they were about to go on a multi-hour road-trip to Boston!<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

Goodbye suburbia, where everyone is renovating.<\/p><\/div>\n

At the airport, waiting for Finnur to arrive from dropping off the rental car.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Emma<\/a>

Emma dropped a bottle of water on the floor, which a friendly lady mopped up.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Our<\/a>

Our US citizens and a US flag.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"The<\/a>

The line through security was slooooooow.<\/p><\/div>\n

The line was so slow that the kids ended up sitting on the floor to keep a supremely bored Emma company. (Wait for the image to load.)<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Finally<\/a>

Finally through security, and finishing off surprisingly good made-on-the-spot sushi, and about to indulge in some ice cream.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"More<\/a>

More waiting in line. Finnur took the Emma-watch, and again she resolutely refused to sleep, even a little bit. But we all made it home in the end.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
