Our last full day in the Washington DC area wasn’t very fancy. \u00a0Elsa went with Anna and myself to go shopping at an outlet mall south of Washington<\/a> in the morning. \u00a0In the afternoon we then made our way downtown to eat at a crazy Texan-style BBQ place<\/a> with all the other Icelanders. \u00a0As we were walking to our cars, we heard music, and stumbled upon the end of an open military concert<\/a>. \u00a0We toyed with walking to the White House, but decided against it in the end, and just drove to home base. Much later in the day, we drove into downtown Washington DC, and took this photo to remember just what elevator we’d taken from the parking lot.<\/p><\/div>\n

We ate at a Texan-style BBQ house. It was LOUD in there, which meant we didn’t care if the kids were loud.<\/p><\/div>\n

The tables were packed together, and to get food, you went to the back, asked for the meat you wanted from one counter (and got it wrapped on brown paper), and then went to a second counter for the sides. It seemed to work pretty well.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Afterwards<\/a>

Afterwards we stumbled upon a concert by the Navy\u00a0Band<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n
