[Happenings of 24 July 2015, onlined 06 September 2015. \u00a0Good thing nothing else is going on these days.<\/em>]<\/p>\n

We booked Bjarki a stay with his grandparents over the weekend to decrease our\u00a0humans-per-area ratio a bit. \u00a0The showering of unconditional love always does him good.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, I went out to dinner with Sigga (from CA), and then finished the evening by attending a jazz concert by the group 23\/8<\/a>, which is fronted by my old classmate Stina. \u00a0They put on a great show of Bj\u00f6rk songs, calling it Bjorkologi<\/a>. (9 images total, 1 video)<\/p>\n

Fresh from the library, these are the books Bjarki took with him to his grandparents’ summer house.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

This is why kids need aunts and uncles. Would we have let him do this? Noooo… Am I happy for him? Yes!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Meanwhile,<\/a>

Meanwhile, I made my way downtown to enjoy some happy hour priced beer and excellent food at Forr\u00e9ttabarinn<\/a> with Sigga, who I hadn’t seen in half of forever.<\/p><\/div>\n

I then walked past my old place of employment, to the Nordic House<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"It<\/a>

It was a gorgeous day\/evening.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Inside,<\/a>

Inside, Stina and the rest of the 23\/8 group did a fantastic job interpreting a very wide range of Bj\u00f6rk’s songs. \u00a0They infused a lot of them with new meaning for me, since I often have trouble getting past Bj\u00f6rk’s vocalizations to her lyrics and meanings. \u00a0It also sort of dawned on me just what a great songwriter\/poet Bj\u00f6rk really is. \u00a0Which reminds me that Vulnicura is apparently a must-listen-to. \u00a0Better get on that!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Intermission<\/a>

Intermission had everybody outside, including me who was still harboring a nasty cough from the start of the vacation.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Back<\/a>

Back inside, the big hot lamps had been replaced by softer lighting, which made photographing on my rather battery-low phone, even harder.<\/p><\/div>\n
