{"id":13641,"date":"2015-08-13T22:34:21","date_gmt":"2015-08-13T22:34:21","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/?p=13641"},"modified":"2015-08-13T22:34:21","modified_gmt":"2015-08-13T22:34:21","slug":"back-from-the-us","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/2015\/08\/back-from-the-us\/","title":{"rendered":"Back From the US"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This is just to document that last night we returned from a two week vacation in the Washington DC area in the US. \u00a0We stayed with Elsa and \u00der\u00e1inn (whom <a href=\"http:\/\/hrefna.com\/dagbok\/fh2000\/id51.htm\">we met at Stanford many a moon ago<\/a>) in the very spacious house they&#8217;ve been renting there for the past year.<\/p>\n<p>We did a bunch of stuff, and hopefully I&#8217;ll manage to post some of it in the days\/months\/years to come!<\/p>\n<p>Among the highlights was a two-day trip <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Lewes,_Delaware\">to the beach in Delaware<\/a>, meeting up with Todd and Torie and the twins (swimming ftw!), SHOPPING (so much shopping!), <a href=\"http:\/\/sandyspringadventurepark.org\/\">climbing in the trees in an adventure park<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/airandspace.si.edu\/visit\/udvar-hazy-center\/\">checking out a space-shuttle and other cool air-thingies<\/a>, catching up with a very pregnant Margr\u00e9t, checking out the capitol building and driving sort of past the White House, seeing <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/The_Book_of_Mormon_(musical)\">The Book of Mormon<\/a>, visiting various playgrounds, and uh, generally being on vacation!<\/p>\n<p>Ok, better start sorting through pictures!! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is just to document that last night we returned from a two week vacation in the Washington DC area in the US. \u00a0We stayed with Elsa and \u00der\u00e1inn (whom we met at Stanford many a moon ago) in the very spacious house they&#8217;ve been renting there for the past year.
