[Hopeless catch up resumes. This is from 15 July, although it’s 26 July 2015 right now.<\/em>]<\/p>\n

We had a Wednesday date with Elsa and her daughter at the Nauth\u00f3lsv\u00edk geothermal beach. \u00a0The weather forecast was iffy, and there were rain-clouds visible here and there, but as we arrived the sun came out and mostly stayed out.<\/p>\n

We were super lucky in that it was low tide, so the ocean “pool” was only getting water from the hot tub by it, so it was unusually warm. \u00a0As we were leaving a couple of hours later, the sea had risen far enough to start ‘watering’ the pool again, chilling it down. (11 images total)<\/p>\n

Awesome! The water was pleasantly not freezing, and the sun was warm. I doubt we’ll ever be so lucky again!<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

The water level when we arrived. That hot tub is not very hot, more like a pleasant bathtub, but the overrun feeds the “ocean” part below it, warming it up.<\/p><\/div>\n

Anna opted to read up on the beach, and once we’d had enough, Emma ate a snack by her.<\/p><\/div>\n

Everybody also got some ice cream! The amount of ice cream that’s been devoured lately is staggering!<\/p><\/div>\n

The proper hot tub. It’s very good to warm up there after getting a good chill down by the sea.<\/p><\/div>\n

We drove Emma home to nap a bit, and then went to the main city library. It was not quiet at all, with a whole brass band playing a concert!<\/p><\/div>\n
