This weekend we actually had good weather<\/em>. \u00a0Both days had clear skies, but the Sunday was noticeably warmer than Saturday. \u00a0We are fortunate enough to have a\u00a0patio that is sheltered from most wind directions, so we had a pretty sweet time on both days!<\/p>\n

Both days were busy, here are photos from the Saturday, where we put up a tent, attended a birthday, and hosted two of my brothers plus entourage for hot tubbing, and a dinner. \u00a0Yes, this marked the first time we used the hot tub this year. \u00a0Golly! (18 images total)<\/p>\n

Shortly before lunchtime Anna suggested we put the tent up, so we did!<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

Shortly thereafter I posted a photo from this collection to Facebook, remarking just how NICE it was outside (for once). Less than an hour later we then took off for a birthday party. Little did I know that my post lured in one set of friends (who were shopping nearby), and also prompted another friend to call and ask if we were available. Since I hate disappointing people, my takeaway will probably be to either post photos like this\u00a0only if we’re available for the remainder of the day, or post them once the weather has passed and the wind a rain has started up again!<\/p><\/div>\n

This was a ‘family’ party held directly after the daycare kids had already been and gone! \u00a0R\u00edkey is a master decorater!<\/p><\/div>\n

TV time while the kids waited for food to be served.<\/p><\/div>\n

We went home around 4 pm to receive P\u00e9tur, Sign\u00fd and Fannar. We were unaware P\u00e9tur was in town (surprise!) but if anybody has CGI work they need done this summer, he’s your man. Bjarni also showed up once he heard there’d be food! I totally failed at taking photos because I was busy hot-tubbing (oh the agony) and then BBQ-ing bits of meat that were way too big, but I think a good time was had by all!<\/p><\/div>\n

The camera was on a dodgy setting, so what few photo were taken were all blurry.<\/p><\/div>\n

Eating hastily cooked meat. It was pretty good though!<\/p><\/div>\n

The meat certainly shed a lot of juice! (Note the daylight, this is taken at 8 pm)<\/p><\/div>\n

We finished off the day by watching The Neverending Story<\/a>. Bjarki was pretty scared during the scary parts, and Anna made lots of jaded comments, but then whooped with joy when things went well. All in all it went down well.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
