In a fit of unusual productivity in early April, I booked tickets for not one, but two (!!) plays with the big kids this spring time. \u00a0The first was Pippi Longstocking<\/a>, which Bjarki wanted to see. That had been running for a while, so that was easy to get tickets to, and we went a week or two later. \u00a0 That show was a hoot!<\/p>\n

The other was Billy Elliot the Musical<\/a>, which Anna wanted to see. \u00a0It started its run late this winter, and has been very popular. \u00a0We therefore had to wait a couple of months to see a show from good seats. \u00a0But boy oh boy were they good seats!<\/p>\n

The musical was great! \u00a0The kids did a wonderful job, the main adults were splendidly cast, and there was nary a dull moment. \u00a0Bjarki did cringe a few times when Billy was dancing through his frustrations, but overall an excellent time was had by all! (5 images total)<\/p>\n

Earlier this day, I’d used the glorious weather to start staining some of the miles and miles of wood we have in our yard. I got Anna to give me a hand, and she was mostly a great help. We made it from the top corner down to the BBQ (some stain was added after this photo was taken). That particular stretch of fencing hasn’t been stained since we moved in four years ago, so it was way overdue!<\/p><\/div>\n

This random bit of wooden wind-shield also got some love. Sadly, the sun had little love for me, or me for the sun, since I ended up battling a headache the entire day. Thankfully it didn’t go ballistic until the last five minutes of the show, but finishing off the day was painful.<\/p><\/div>\n
