Finnur and the big kids left for the airport for their trip to England shortly after 7 am. \u00a0At 8 am, Finnur calls me to ask if one of the bags got left behind. \u00a0This is what ended up being posted on Facebook:<\/p>\n

Fun times this morning. My dearly beloved (aka Finnur) took it upon himself to educate the older kiddos in the ways of football (aka soccer) by taking them on a weekend trip to the hallowed grounds of Goodison Park<\/a> to see a Premier League<\/a> game. Except, as he was parking the car at the airport (35-40 min driving distance) he realized he’d forgotten the bag with the passports (and the computers and tablets and the…). Operation Bag Transfer was initiated, which involved jettisoning Ms. Last Born off at daycare, and then doing furious mental calculations to see if the electric car would make it there and back again on a 80% charge. Lo and behold, by initiating the eco+ mode (no air conditioning or fast accelerations), I made it to work with 20 km to spare, which should get me home easily. Phew!<\/p>\n

So yes, exciting! \u00a0Also educational that the km-meter is pretty on the dot in the eco+ mode, especially in pretty flat terrain. (10 images total)<\/p>\n

After fetching Emma at daycare and driving home, I still had a whopping 15 km\/9 miles left on the battery.<\/p><\/div>\n

I plugged the car in, and Emma had a good time out on the playground in pretty lovely weather (still cold-ish though).<\/p><\/div>\n

When I picked Emma up from daycare that day, I realized she didn’t own any summer shoes that fit. So, to the mall we went to remedy the situation.<\/p><\/div>\n

Emma’s new shoes<\/a> are exactly like Bjarki’s new shoes, same color and all, just a smaller size. Emma was very excited!<\/p><\/div>\n

Next stop, Lindex, for some more big-girl underpants. More excitement!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"The<\/a>

The next stop on our girly tour was the restaurant Gl\u00f3<\/a>, which opened near us not so long ago. It’s one of those healthy organic places (usually very good) and I was pleasantly surprised that Emma took to the veggie patty with gusto.<\/p><\/div>\n

Of course she had to climb on top of a stool before we could exit.<\/p><\/div>\n
