We wasted no time after landing on Friday morning, Sydney-time. \u00a0The first thing we did was to pick up our rental car (had to get an upgrade to accommodate all our bags) and drove south towards Nowra<\/a>. \u00a0We stopped in a small town called Berry<\/a> to eat a surprisingly good lunch, and then drove straight to the factory we would be working in for the next couple of weeks. \u00a0After meeting with our client, and organizing what we would need for our work over the weekend (never a dull moment), we visited the local shopping mall to get groceries. \u00a0We exited with fluids, nuts, fruits, chocolate, and granola bars, which would be the main staples in\u00a0our lunches for the next two weeks.<\/p>\n

As it happened, there was a really poor availability of hotel rooms for our first weekend, so we ended up checking into what was essentially a family camp site! \u00a0It was called the Seven Mile Beach Holiday Park<\/a>, where our rooms were ‘surf\u00a0shaks’, and the bathrooms were of the typical communal camping type. \u00a0It was both weird and nice. But, back to the beginning. \u00a0This is the town of Berry. It looked really attractive when we drove through, so we stopped for lunch.<\/p><\/div>\n

Lunch was surprisingly good, and began a long winning streak of excellent cafe-foods.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"There's<\/a>

There’s one highway that goes north-south along the coast (Princes Highway<\/a>), and this town was on it.<\/p><\/div>\n

At the factory by Nowra. The view from the front door was lovely!<\/p><\/div>\n

We drove into Nowra proper, and visited the first of many hipster cafes, the Hopper Society<\/a>.<\/p><\/div>\n

Hipster all the way! \u00a0Great food, and very good coffee too!<\/p><\/div>\n

Mall time.<\/p><\/div>\n

We got slightly lost on the way to our ‘Holiday Park’, but it was a scenic mistake!<\/p><\/div>\n

Since this was a family destination, there was a jumping mat, located directly behind my shack. Thankfully, they shut it down around 8 pm.<\/p><\/div>\n

Time for a quick walk to the beach.<\/p><\/div>\n

I have now touched the Pacific Ocean from both sides. Yay!<\/p><\/div>\n

This beach is in fact, probably…<\/p><\/div>\n

… seven miles long!<\/p><\/div>\n

Goodbye for now! \u00a0Such a treat to visit such a beautiful place after such a long trip.<\/p><\/div>\n

There were a lot of people there, but not a lot of noise. Apparently, Australians tend to go to bed early, and wake up early.<\/p><\/div>\n

The bathrooms were clean, and communal.<\/p><\/div>\n

Apparently, a whole extended family had rented out that entire wing of houses.<\/p><\/div>\n

We were across the road from the reception, but there was an underpass to get there.<\/p><\/div>\n

Pizzeria on wheels! Sadly, they only took cash, of which we had none. Silly foreigners! \u00a0Thus (Gulli had already gone to bed, with the car keys) we had nuts and a banana for dinner.<\/p><\/div>\n

There were some hens and other animals there.<\/p><\/div>\n
