{"id":12821,"date":"2015-03-30T15:56:28","date_gmt":"2015-03-30T15:56:28","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/?p=12821"},"modified":"2015-03-30T15:56:44","modified_gmt":"2015-03-30T15:56:44","slug":"back-from-australia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/2015\/03\/back-from-australia\/","title":{"rendered":"Back From Australia!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>[<em>Written 30 March 2015.<\/em>]<\/p>\n<p>Yesterday I returned from my first trip to Australia! \u00a0I was there for a little over two weeks on a work trip for Marel, while Finnur held down the home fort.<\/p>\n<p>I had megalomaniacal visions of updating this website as time went by, but when push came to shove I was too tired in the evenings to do a darn thing. \u00a0Over a span of 19 days, traveling included, the work log averages out to\u00a011-12 hours of work every-single-day. Add breakfast and dinner to those numbers, and there aren&#8217;t a whole lot of hours left in the day for anything but sleeping. \u00a0Jeeez.<\/p>\n<p>But yeah, I made it there and back again with a couple of colleagues, and although we won&#8217;t know for a few weeks whether the trip was a success, we&#8217;re moderately optimistic that the main goal was met.<\/p>\n<p>I have a gazillion and one picture to put up, but I&#8217;ll start with a photo that got posted to facebook yesterday:<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_12822\" style=\"width: 670px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Snapchat-27867602092570154422.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-12822\" class=\"size-full wp-image-12822\" src=\"https:\/\/hrefna.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/03\/Snapchat-27867602092570154422.jpg\" alt=\"Me with the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbor Bridge behind me.
