Emma, along with pretty much all the youngest kids in her class, came down with a nasty case of hand-foot-and-mouth disease this fall (gin-og klaufaveiki fyrir f\u00f3lk, kallast handa-, f\u00f3ta- og munnveiki<\/a>). \u00a0<\/p>\n

She had to stay home for five days, and we were rescued by Finnur’s parents who took her in so that we could go to work. (6 images total)<\/p>\n

She had a lot of pimples on her face…<\/p><\/div>\n

… quite a few on her hands, and…<\/p><\/div>\n

… these were just the first ones to appear on her feet. Of course they had to grow out of a recent scratch she’d gotten, prompting weeks of saying ‘ow’ and pointing at her foot.<\/p><\/div>\n
