Finnur wanted to fly his drone around Thingvellir<\/a> during autumn-color season, so we drove there one Saturday morning, and hung out for a bit. (40 images total)<\/p>\n

We made a quick drone stop by the river, but nobody got out of the car except Finnur.<\/p><\/div>\n

Finnur wanted to make one more stop, this time by the dive site Silfra<\/a>. The surrounding area was packed with people!<\/p><\/div>\n

No public parking where the vans are. Grrr!<\/p><\/div>\n

There was constant foot traffic!<\/p><\/div>\n

Silfra is a one-way diving street. You walk down some stairs, make you way down this waterway, and come up on the other end, and walk back to the car.<\/p><\/div>\n

This is where people emerge from the water.<\/p><\/div>\n

Finnur flying again.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Meanwhile,<\/a>

Meanwhile, people were lounging in the freezing cold water.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Walking<\/a>

Walking back to the car, I had Emma in a walking backpack. Unbeknownst to me, she lost one of her shoes and went completely berserk. She wailed bloody murder and tried to kick herself out of the backpack, and I had to physically restrain her from toppling out of it. It was not fun. \u00a0Once we discovered the shoe was missing the screaming made sense, and we realized we’d just gotten Knuffle bunnied<\/a>! \u00a0Emma calmed down once Anna had retrieved her shoe.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"After<\/a>

After the scream-fest we were ready to go home. We drove past these farm-houses on the way back.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"We<\/a>

We also saw some horses.<\/p><\/div>\n

All in all it was a good trip, and it was weird to still have most of the day left once we got back home because we’d left so early!<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
