[This HAPPENED on 03 August 2014, but was written 24 SEPTEMBER 2014. Take everything with a grain of salt!<\/em>]<\/p>\n

This semi-clouded Sunday, Holla and I ventured out with the kids to visit a near-by water-slide park<\/a>, which turned out to be CLOSED!! \u00a0No, there was no notice on their Facebook page, or on their website. \u00a0All I could find was that they ‘reserved the right to close if the weather wasn’t good enough’. \u00a0We were so shocked we didn’t even take a photo of the closed-waterpark-at-a-distance-across-an-access-bridge-that-was-closed… but Google Street View did<\/a>: (49 images total)<\/p>\n

This is as close as we got to the Asti-Lido waterpark. Oh, and there were NO SIGNS directing us how to get there. Maybe that was the hint that it was closed?<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

We tried another public swimming pool nearby, but that was also closed. \u00a0I ended up contacting our ‘landlady’ and she said the park was probably closed due to ‘bad weather’ (25\u00b0C but not a whole lot of sun). \u00a0She kindly called around, and told us there was a swimming pool 30 minutes away through the winding\u00a0country roads that was open on this Sunday. \u00a0It turned out to be a very plain swimming pool adjacent to a camp site, so we opted against it.<\/p>\n

Instead, the adults with fully functioning legs (not me) took a hike up to the village proper that we were in, Rocca d’Arazzo<\/a>. \u00a0Our house was where the big X is:<\/p>\n

Since Finnur took the photos in the village, I’m just going to post them below with no commentary (who reads that anyway?!). \u00a0After the hike (most of the kids stayed behind, either napping or playing) we filled a kiddie pool with water, and they splashed in it until they all got cold.<\/p>\n
