[Written 14 JULY 2014. Because of clogged brains.<\/em>]<\/p>\n

Day two of the football meet greeted us with more of the same weather wise, and a lot more football. (39 images total)<\/p>\n

\"The<\/a>

The boys started waking up around 7 am, which was fine because we had to be at breakfast around 8:30 am.<\/p><\/div><\/p>\n

\"Breakfast<\/a>

Breakfast was served in a sports hall adjacent to the big indoor field.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Morning<\/a>

Morning people? Hard to tell.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"The<\/a>

The almost empty food hall.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Time<\/a>

Time to enter the big house.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Bjarki<\/a>

Bjarki getting a fancy hair do.<\/p><\/div>\n

Oh yeah baby!<\/p><\/div>\n

The hair-done team, although we were still waiting on the last kid to arrive from the city.<\/p><\/div>\n

Some warm up exercises.<\/p><\/div>\n

Game #1 on Saturday. Only three more to go!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"The<\/a>

The boys are still at the age where they basically all chase the ball all the time. Only a handful of them know how to pass. It makes for easy exhaustion.<\/p><\/div>\n

Losing is not a lot of fun.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Game<\/a>

Game #2 about to begin. The games for each team were scheduled an hour apart and each game was 2×12 minutes.<\/p><\/div>\n

This was the only game they won that day. There was much happiness.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"While<\/a>

While they were snacking I walked on over to chat with my cousin R\u00edkey, whose boy was playing with HK.<\/p><\/div>\n

Smiling people are the best!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Bjarki<\/a>

Bjarki close to touching the ball. He isn’t a very gung ho player though, so he may have let it be.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Getting<\/a>

Getting a hug from mom. At this point Bjarki was pretty much done for and just wanted to go home. I bribed him to play the last game by buying him a chocolate cake and giving him hot chocolate.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Their<\/a>

Their last game of the day was played outside.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Busy<\/a>

Busy answering Who’s the BEST?!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Confusingly,<\/a>

Confusingly, they played the other Brei\u00f0ablik team in their category. Even more confusingly, the goalie didn’t get a yellow shirt, so I kept getting confused which way they should be going.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Bjarki<\/a>

Bjarki tried to get himself substituted off as much as he could, and when he was on the field, he basically walked along with the ball at a distance. He was so done for!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Final<\/a>

Final rallying before the boys went to eat lunch. Afterwards they could go do their own thing until dinner.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"One<\/a>

One of the two bouncy castles on site.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Bjarki<\/a>

Bjarki in line for the second one after already trying the first one.<\/p><\/div>\n

That’s a lot of people!<\/p><\/div>\n

Some more games laid out. I decided my feet needed a break, and preferably a hot tub soaking. The local pool was utterly swamped (there was a huge line to get in) so Bjarki and I drove to neighboring Borgarnes where the pool was also busy, but not so crazy busy that there was a long line to get in. \u00a0The hot tubs were a bit sardine-like though…<\/p><\/div>\n

\"We<\/a>

We returned back in time for an early dinner, and I excused myself for a bit and…<\/p><\/div>\n

\"...<\/a>

… went back to Galito<\/a> for another taste of their food. This course was not quite as mouthwateringly awesome as the the previous one, but still very very good.<\/p><\/div>\n

Yes, I even treated myself to dessert. Shhh, don’t tell anybody!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Afterwards<\/a>

Afterwards we went back to the school where the boys where sleeping, and got things set up for the night. I would not be sleeping there, only Bjarki.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"We<\/a>

We headed back to the indoor field for a bit of a show.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"I<\/a>

I let Bjarki fend for himself in the crowd for a bit, but towards the end I took pity on him and gave him the royal treatment.<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Very<\/a>

Very funny mister!!<\/p><\/div>\n

\"Last<\/a>

Last trip of the day to the school. I helped get Bjarki into bed and then disappeared to…<\/p><\/div>\n

… the food hall, where the entire town seemed to have left some awesome goodies for us parents to nosh on. I met my cousin R\u00edkey there, and afterwards we headed to my cousin Lilla’s place where we slept overnight.<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
