[Written 13 JULY 2014. \u00a0Yes, I took a blogging break. \u00a0Deal with it.<\/em>]<\/p>\n

The auto-focus on my trusty 50 mm lens died this past October. \u00a0When I finally got around to taking the lens in for repairs, I discovered that the cost of repairs almost equaled buying a new lens in the US. \u00a0So that’s what we did. \u00a0I also bought a lens hood to try and prevent the new lens from dying like the old one did. \u00a0Here are the first few photos taken with the “new” lens (10 images total)<\/p>\n
