[Written 13 June 2014<\/em>]<\/p>\n

School was formally ended on this mostly gorgeous Thursday. \u00a0The formalities didn’t begin until 2 pm, so before the hoopla began, I decided to use the 20% day-long sale going on in our neighborhood shopping mall and get the kids inline skates for summer.<\/p>\n

After we returned from the school the kids excitedly put their skates on, and\u00a0surprised me by staying on them for an hour, then taking a break for dinner, and then going back out to practice in the gorgeously still and mild evening.<\/p>\n

(It seemed like the ski lessons they took in February really helped them figure the skates out. \u00a0Yay!) (18 images total)<\/p>\n

The school is getting a brand new health-circuit training area, which was still under construction on the day of ‘opening’ but should be done soon. I just hope it’ll keep looking this good for a long time!<\/p><\/div>\n

The older kids sold refreshments to fund a trip of theirs.<\/p><\/div>\n

The K\u00f3pavogur School Band played fun songs.<\/p><\/div>\n

For some reason there seem to be more kids playing outside after dinner in the street than last summer.<\/p><\/div>\n
