Just a few pictures from this past Saturday:
This Friday was a pretty hectic one. We began by going to the health center to get an ‘official’ blood pressure reading, but then ended up calling the hospital to talk to a familiar doctor there and get permission to halve the dose of one of my two remaining medications. Then I left Finnur and Anna (on winter break) alone with Ms. Bambino while the physio continued working on my leg, which is finally showing a small will to live again. All survived the lack of boobs, but it was close. Pétur and Signý came by in the afternoon, and in the evening Ms. Bambino got her first bath!
Thursday was spent recovering from Wednesday which had two outings: 1) to the hospital to get blood pressure reading and subsequently be taken off of one of three medications, 2) go to new physio therapist to attempt to fix my still non-functioning left leg. The first whole day home was very very quiet and relaxing. Ms. Bambino slept pretty much the whole day, and we tried to do the same. We finally remembered to take some pictures when it was time for Anna to go to bed, which is when the wee one woke up.Read more

It took a week, but finally Ms. Bambino had been declared infection free, and I’d been loaded up with enough blood pressure medication to finally beat it into submission – and we were declared fit to go home. Here are pictures from the day.
Nothing new to report, except that now that we’re no longer disappearing from our unlockable room to go to the NICU, I asked Finnur to bring my laptop and the big camera back to the hospital. Oh, how nice it is to type on a proper keyboard and not the itty bitty phone! So hereRead more
Sooooo… Ms. Bambino has been discharged, and is free to go, but I am not. Sadly, my blood pressure keeps spiking very high, so now the docs are trying a third drug to try and lower it.
