Bjarki started practicing gymnastics once per week with Gerpla late this fall, after hanging out on a wait-list for over a year. I think he’s only attended four sessions so far, but that was apparently enough to attend Gerpla’s “Advent Meet” – his first meet ever. His slot was between 10 am and 11:30 am this morning, so Finnur’s parents dropped the kids off by the sports center shortly before the hoopla was supposed to start. This meet slot was apparently only for 5 year olds. There were three boy groups and five girl groups, and each group took turns performing a particular set of exercises.

This Saturday morning I decided to bring the ‘big’ camera to Bjarki’s sports/athletics-school, where I took lots of pictures (you have to click on the ‘Read the rest of this entry‘ to see all of them).
First I had to drop Anna off at her English school though, which meant that Bjarki and I were out and about way too early for his session. The only thing to do: stop by the local bakery and buy some bread and a ‘healthy’ (cough, cough) snack to munch on for a bit.

The sporty-school people had set up a course using almost the entire available floor-space today – usually they have the gray partition down and only use half of it. Daycare-doggy of course got to tag along inside.
