Bjarki woke up this morning feeling a lot more energetic than yesterday, and immediately asked “Can I go to the Yuletide-ball today?”. I didn’t have the heart to say no, figuring that a two hour trip out of the house might do everybody a world of good.
Him and me took it easy this morning though, lounged in bed with our good friend YouTube, while Anna was off watching Spirited Away in her final English class of this season. We are thankful for good friends who were kind enough to come pick her up for class, and then drop her off afterwards! 🙂

Just returned from taking Bjarki to the eye-doctor (ophthalmologist). She did some initial tests and decided she wanted to do a full measurement, so he got the ‘lovely’ eye-drops that dilate the pupils, and take 20-30 mins to take full effect. Bjarki started practicing gymnastics once per week with Gerpla late this fall, after hanging out on a wait-list for over a year. I think he’s only attended four sessions so far, but that was apparently enough to attend Gerpla’s “Advent Meet” – his first meet ever. His slot was between 10 am and 11:30 am this morning, so Finnur’s parents dropped the kids off by the sports center shortly before the hoopla was supposed to start. This meet slot was apparently only for 5 year olds. There were three boy groups and five girl groups, and each group took turns performing a particular set of exercises.
