Birthday Party!
We celebrated Anna Sólrún’s 1st birthday (Dec 25th) today at my in-laws. We decided to host a “laid-back” party and invited around 20 grownups (just the very closest family and friends) along with their kids, and served them pizza (hence the “laid-back”), “pancakes” (actually crepes) and chocolate cake. There was also a strict “no-fancy-clothes policy” a la California. 🙂
We’d timed the party so that my dad and littlest brother, Gunnar and Anthony, would be here fresh from England, as they were. With dad here, it was especially sad that my mother couldn’t make it because she’s been sick with a very bad case of the flu all week. None of my other brothers made it either, since they were either recovering, falling sick or working. 🙁 But we filmed a lot of the party so we’ll show them all that happened when they get better.
I then had a blast driving my dad and Anthony back to where they’re staying as it snowed like crazy! I really really like driving in the snow, especially now that we’ve been given the keys to the “older” Toyota which has ABS, skid prevention and the works… 🙂
