Emma at the Lumber Yard

Emma and I went shopping for timber today so we can install safety gates on the stairs.

The plank we got was 2.55 meters long, so I got to handsaw it into three pieces so that it would fit into the car.  The guy who brought the plank graciously steadied the 4.5cm x 9.5 cm plank while I did my best not to embarrass my self too badly.  It wasn’t 100% graceful, but I got it done. 🙂

Now we just have to sand the wood down, borrow a drill, and install the gates before Emma gets too adventurous for her own good!
