Bjarki’s 6th Birthday!!
Bjarki turned 6 years old today!! Oh my!! 🙂 Click here to read this whole post – there are a lot of pictures!
One standard chocolate cake, check!
He woke me up at 06:30, we went downstairs to eat breakfast, and then I collapsed back into bed, forbidding him to open any presents until after 7 am. There was little rest to be had though because of course Emma had awoken by then…
Shortly after 7 am we woke Anna and Finnur up and let Bjarki open his first presents:
Bjarki’s first present of the day: a snorkel set complete with fins from his sisters.
Moving on to the next present, this one from Sarah and Augusto, in front of a rapt audience. He got a very exciting paper airplane launcher, which will take some parental-assisted assembling.
Bjarki’s ‘big’ present from us was this Snap Circuits Rover. He’s been very interested lately in Anna’s Snap Circuits Jr. kit.
We assembled the rover and got it working on the first try. Bjarki spent a good amount of time driving it around.

Bjarki then went to daycare (and Anna later on to her riding class) while Finnur and I tidied and cleaned the house for Bjarki’s birthday party – The Family Edition.

Bjarki got bubble liquid and very cool bubble-accessories. They were put into immediate use!

Soon the kids were out again, blowing more bubbles. The sun had finally come out (as predicted) and it was almost warm out.
