[Photos taken 28 – 31 July 2025, posted online 12 July 2026. Windy day, rain predicted later.]
Frisbee disc golf was so much fun on our ladies trip, that I dragged Emma, and sometimes Anna, out to play with me for four straight days on four different courses.
We did managed to celebrate Finnur’s birthday (although he kind of would prefer that we didn’t), but mostly we just relaxed and gathered strength for the next big thing, which was Anna’s move to Denmark to start her masters degree program at DTU.
Monday 28 July 2025
Emma by the launch pad for the second hole (?) of the course by Vífilsstaðir.
Late lunch that day was a home-made bagel with some eggs, cheese, and cucumbers.
Was sad to find that the free gift wrapping paper in the local mall is now just the black and white logo of said mall.
It looked like the first basket had been removed…?!?
We found an impressive snail.
Action shot!
We got a little confused by which basket belonged to which launch-pad, but this one through the tree-tunnel was pretty self-evident.
The poor Jaguar kept having issues, and yet again it landed at the dealers for some repair. We will never buy another Jaguar, that’s for sure…
Actual dimness kind-of happening at 23:25.
Wednesday 30 July 2025
I dragged myself to the gym, but was glad afterwards.
My addiction.
Ooooh, exciting!
It was officially less than a week before Anna would be moving to Denmark for her master’s studies. We decided to gift her a bag so that she could start packing for real.
Playing the the bag!
Yet another disc golf course, yet another hill away. This is in Guðmundarlundur.
Action shot!
We found Emma’s disc in a tree…
The evil tree tunnel, with the steep slope off to the side… So many discs have rolled so far off the course…
Celebrations!!!
Every blue moon or so, Emma asks me to braid her hair.

Strawberries from our yard!
I’m the kind of person that sends an email to the gym about a leaning plate-rack, whose wheel is about to break off.
Emma badgered me into installing a mirror we’d picked up at Ikea.
This was probably the most monotonous of the courses we tried. It basically goes along the valley floor by, and occasionally across, the valley stream.
Probably the most fun hole.
Emma trying a new one.
Anna had to go fish for a dish.
Success!!
Fence and shrubbery status.
The corner… I’ll have to kill a couple of young-ish self-sown tree plants soon, there isn’t space for all of them.
Anna’s broccoli plants grew ginormous and yummy broccoli!! Thus end-eth July 2025!!
