The month started with a sewing-club, then it was more tasks in the backyard, some knitting happened, we attended a birthday party, I took a walk by the music school, and attempted to clean the shower drain.
All in all a relatively low-key start to the month, which was a nice change to the usual madness.

A note from Emma reminding me to make sure her automatic light would go on in the morning, as the day before was a public holiday, and I’d turned them off. She now has the light-app on her own phone.
Oooops, found a a knitting error patch. It’s remarkable how long it takes to fix mistakes like these, and just how unnerving it is! But, it got done in the end.

Unusually for May, it was t-shirt weather outside. Usually, it’s blue clear skies and FREEZING cold. The veggie-box top-frames kept people busy.
The fine weather made me want to buy summer flowers to put outside, but experience dictates that there were cold spells still to come that would probably kill them.
Afternoon birthday party, yay!
There were also some leaves visible in the west end of town!
Anna still seemed to have a slight height-edge, but a few months later Emma had grown to be taller than Anna!

Our dentist had moved to the old headquarters of Iceland’s Independence Party. They left their eagle!
Taking a walk while Emma was at music school. The paths in the area were being rebuilt, with two new bridges!
This weird pipe had also appeared, just spanning the river.

Cleaning the shower drain is a continual headache. I decided to try unscrewing the cover…
Ugh, so much black sludge. Who designed this?! I removed the sludge, and then spent a while assembling everything again…
I kept finding new things in Blue Prince, it is quite a nicely paced game.
