The Swedish contingent arrived for an Easter visit, which was fun for us! I was cultural and went to a show (of the one-woman-kind), and almost peed my pants laughing. Us, the siblings, managed to book ourselves and mom for a lunch, and the weather kept oscillating between spring and winter.

The National Theater in downtown Reykjavik, where I spent the evening.
Earlier that day, I drove to the airport to help ferry the Swedes (aka my brother and his family) to civilization.
We made a super quick pit stop at our home, before ferrying them onwards to another one of the brother’s, where they would be staying.
Kristín Þóra Haraldsdóttir, the evening’s writer and performer. The show, On a red light, was born out of desperation, as an acting gig she’d signed up for fell through, and she found herself stressed out of her mind, and financially in dire straits. She recounts events with such gusto, warmth, and hilarity that the room howled with laughter.
The show was in the theater basement, and the audience was about 95% female, but the following winter the show was promoted to a weekly showing on the big stage, where it has essentially been sold out all winter.

Always fun to spot one of my brothers at the gym.
Fish for dinner! Yay!

Hail! In April!
Pretty big ones too, although not nearly up to Colorado standards.
Instant white-out!
Work-week survived, time to chill!

Us, the siblings, invited mom out to lunch.
My duck-confit (?) waffle.
The place was unusually empty, these days it feels perpetually full. If one arrives late in the day to just have a cup of something, and a slice of cake, they reserve the right to kick you out if actual dinner patrons arrive!
