[Photos taken 16 – 20 March 2025, posted online 08 November 2025. Snow still lingers after the biggest ever October snowfall in the capital on 28 October. I measured 40 cm /16 inches in our backyard. 07 December 2025. Blog’s taken the metaphorical back seat as life’s been very very busy. Just returned from seeing Radiohead in Copenhagen!]

The temperature reached a convincing 8.5 C / 47 F, and I remembered that the shrubbery needed trimming before they started spring-sprouting.

We went out to dinner with friends, I went on a hike with a new hiking group (that I would miss a lot of hikes with), Emma got a spring-time haircut, and we packed for our upcoming triple-couple-trip to Tenerife!

Machine vs shrubbery.
The ground under the feeding-tree was covered with remnants of bird-food.
A green thing!
So warm!
Our mostly-annual double-birthday dinner-outing about to commence!
This was a part of the Food and Fun festival, so there was just one set menu.
Everything was yummy!
I went to the restroom, as one does, and never ever have I been in a public restroom with a MIRROR besides the toilet itself. It was a little disconcerting.
Lovely dessert, mmm…

The remnants of a huge snow-pile on the parking lot at work. The sand and dirt insulates the snow, and it melts very slowly.

Tuesday 18 March 2025

We were a few days out from a triple-couples-trip to Tenerife for a few days, so I decided to get my legs de-haired by a professional.
Knitting progress!

Selfie before getting my picture taken at work.
After work I joined a hiking group I’d signed up with, in spite of my Achilles tendons being eternally iffy. This was a flat walk, but on the speedier side.
One of the guides saying knowledgeable things.
There are a bunch of paths in the area, and most of them were quite soggy.
Checking out the small semi-natural shelter hidden in the lava-field. I’d been there twice before, but it’s always fun to visit.
Taking a nourishing bite.
I was very pink!
A nice view. It’s easy to see where the lava stopped flowing.
By where the scouts hang out. Their big house is on the other side of the trees on the left (I think), but they (or somebody) has built a public toilet for visitors.
Only slightly muddy, and only slightly sore.

Emma post spring-haircut.
Finnur’s sock pile, as he was about mid-way through sorting through it as we were packing for our trip. (I generally don’t wear socks as they are just a pain to launder and sort.)
