Slow Day
Today I can claim to have become fully fever-free (oral temps 36.5°C), whereas last night I probably still had a few ‘commas’ (oral temps 37.1°C). I slept for good chunks of the day, and I didn’t really wake up until 4pm when the alarm went off to remind me to take my pills (taking pills three times a day isn’t the funnest ever).
The active highlights of my day were a) putting a load of laundry in the machine, b) transferring said laundry to the dryer quite a few hours later, and c) showering. Oh and d) getting out of bed every now and then for a nibble in the kitchen. And yes, I’ll admit to watching some Doctor Who too. And participating in some chatting on the telephone/laptop. 🙂
Terribly exciting all. Indeed.
On the other side of town, Bjarki apparently had a grand day with Adda and Halli and their kids. I’m not entirely sure what they got up to (besides making a shocking mess in the kids’ bedroom) except that they went to the new concert/conference hall, Harpa, to attend the inaugural-weekend-symphony-childrens-concert. I was pretty sad to miss it, but apparently Bjarki really liked it, and wanted to go up on stage to play an instrument.
After the concert, Bjarki got dropped off at his grandparents’ again because I figured I wasn’t quite up to operating speed again (there’s still quite a bit of coughing, ear-instability and high-pitched ear static), but my plan is to pick him up from daycare tomorrow, Monday, and snuggle him A LOT!!
I’m not planning to go into work tomorrow, but I am going to see if I can muster the mental energy needed to solve the two problems I had on the final last week and figure out how I’m going to mark them. Then perhaps on Tuesday I can actually start marking up the problems. Perhaps.
