Finally, some progress!
Bjarki woke up in a right foul mood this morning, but at least it was a very energetic foul mood, which was a relief after all his lethargy yesterday. He also did not have a fever at all. Yay for antibiotics! 🙂
As the day wore on, he steadily became more and more energetic, so much so that he didn’t even manage to fall asleep after lunchtime, and his mood improved too. Bottom line is that unless something drastic happens tonight, he’s going to daycare tomorrow.
As planned yesterday, when we realized that both kids would be out of school for a second day, Anna got picked up by grandma Anna around 11am, and they spent the day together. They apparently had a good time, and Anna (free of fever) returned shortly before dinner. She is also slated to go to school tomorrow, and not a day too soon since she’s “Student of the Week” in her class this week!
Finnur finally felt significantly better today, after being miserable since Friday. After having little luck in with watching Everton play Arsenal tonight online, he even mustered up the energy to drive to the ‘Everton-pub’ at half-time. This marks the first time he leaves the house for about five days!
As for me, I decided to cancel my class this morning, since I neither had the time, nor the energy to prepare a lecture with everybody being sick. This will come back to bite me though since I’ve scheduled a make-up class next week, so that will be three lectures in one week. Sigh.
On the health front I’m doing ok, although I noticed this afternoon that I was slightly dizzy as I walked to my class in the Education Department. Yes, there’s still some phlegm, and a raspy voice, but hopefully these are just lingering issues that will go away soon.
Here’s hoping for continued health improvements! 🙂
