We kept having crazy fantastic weather, with barely a drop of rain. It was very conductive to walks and staining wood, and there’s So. Much. Wood.

Bjarki competed at a gymnastics meet, dinner was outsourced, we visited the farm animal & family park, the guest-house at house #2 got some attention, and Anna prepared starting her first ever summer job (45-ish images total).

The weather was so nice, we decided to bike to a restaurant and have dinner!

Biking home around midnight. Ahead of Finnur is a neighborhood-to-be-built, and the bike-path just abruptly ends!

At 8 am, in the next town over (10 minute drive), about to watch Bjarki compete with his team in group gymnastics.
These meets always begin with a long warm-up period, where one team gets to go through their routine on each of the three disciplines.

The staining continued… This is around 2pm.
Two and a half hours later, things were looking a lot more shiny.
I think I took this photo to demonstrate some parental truth or other to Emma. And yes, this was yet again around 10 pm. Bedtime, smedtime.

Whit Monday is a public holiday, so to the family park we went!
The goats have a trampoline!

Probably Emma’s favorite activity, it’s a pity the line is always so long we usually only go once.

Took Anna to the shopping mall and saw people eating outside!

Fancy car parked at work!
That night I began staining the front-side fences, which are a huge pain in the butt to stain. Each side takes about half an hour to complete with all the fancy stuff going on. Thankfully, podcasts came to my rescue.

The day before we’d bought floor material for the guest house we were finishing at house #2. Seeing that it was actually nearing completion, I ventured to Ikea to buy a bed, and hired a fully electric van from them to take it home. Also, do you see the RAIN!?! It didn’t last long.
Bjarki couldn’t resist trying the flatbed out!
A happy Anna. The horses had arrived for the summer horse camp, and as she was now going to actually work as an assistant/instructor at horse camp, she and a few of the other workers got to go out on a riding tour.

Meanwhile, Finnur had driven up to house #2 to start working on the flooring. I’d planned to drive up after him, but the day had drained me dry, so we drove up the next day.
