New York, Day Four
In light of Bjarki’s pneumonia diagnosis, we decided to keep day four calm and quiet and make sure that Bjarki got his first afternoon nap in a long while. We exited the hotel somewhere between 10 and 11 am, and I made my way to the Riverside playground by the Hudson river, while Finnur wheeled our mountain of laundry out to the nearest laundromat. Around lunch we met up again, and had a little something to eat at the Thai place next to our hotel.
After lunch, Bjarki and I headed upstairs for a nap, while Finnur took Anna to a playground in Central Park, where she happily played in the water (there seem to be water-play areas everywhere in NY) while Finnur browsed the internet on the magical-can’t-live-without-it-uber-phone. Dinner was at a semi-upscale Italian restaurant nearby and the food was above average. Then we headed back to the hotel with a tub of ice-cream in tow. That was a mistake (hyper kids!) which will not be repeated!
Not a single photograph was taken. Yes, I’m shocked too! 🙂
