Finnur 35!

Finnur is 35 years old today! To celebrate we invited our respective immediate families for a small cocktail-party. The party was “California-style”, i.e. no fancy clothes, which I think we might turn into a tradition… The center-pieces of the feast were sushi-rolls which Finnur, Einar and Anna assembled today. The rest of the food preparation was a collaboration between Finnur’s mom, Finnur, myself, and Margrét who brought brownies.

The party was a resounding success, and we were very fortunate that the weather decided to play along and turn dry and warm just as the guests started arriving. Anna and Bjarki mostly hung out with my brothers, who enjoy horsing around a lot!

One of the sushi plates. Unfortunately, Einar (Steinunn’s spouse
and expert sushi-maker), hurt his knee badly playing soccer yesterday,
so he stayed home from work today. This was good for us though,
because he then had plenty of time to make sushi with Finnur today.
