More baby-news!
I found out yesterday that Helga, my classmate from MR junior college and basketball player with KR, is 16 weeks pregnant! She’s due in February next year, and all is looking good! This means that out of the six girls that were in our class (5-X), four have either given birth or are pregnant! Congratulations Helga and Sturla! 🙂
A weekend in the summer house
Apart from hearing baby-news, Finnur and I spent the weekend with the usual suspects (Holla & Óli, Halli & Adda) in a summer house by Laugarvatn. We arrived there late Friday night and stayed until Sunday afternoon, generally doing nothing but playing games (10 year old Trivial Pursuit for youngsters, Rummicuib, Sequence, Settlers…) , sleeping, going swimming, checking out the trees (my favorite part) and eating! Lots of eating!! 🙂
Sadly, I now supect that I have allergies, since from the moment we arrived until we left, my left nostril instigated lots of sneezing and sniffling and I found breathing oddly difficult since the air/throat felt “dry”. But at the same time the weather was GREAT, the thermostat claimed it was around and above 20°C (68°F), there was no wind to speak of and only rained at 5am Sunday morning…
Oooh! And we felt an earthquake! We were just falling asleep one night around 2am, when I found myself wiggling in the bed, and scolded Finnur for not staying still – but it wasn’t him moving, it was the earth reacting to a 4.9 point earthquake some many km away… 🙂
