With Easter holiday all done and dusted, it was time for more spring tasks, as the sun kept staying up in the sky for longer and longer.
There were walks, some biking, gymming, a confirmation party, and a lot of wood-staining. I attended a spring-y choral performance, and we went out to dinner with friends.

The priming and staining of the veggie-box-tops continued. Here are 2 out of the 4, all set up to be stripped of staples and acrylic fabric by helping hands.
I worked from home that day I think. It was nice to look outside the window occasionally, but there wasn’t much green to be seen yet.

Spring jitters won out, and I went for a walk around my workplace. There’s a forest-y area pretty close to it, overlooking a harbor. There’s a white wall built out of containers to shield cars from the sea-breeze.
A little further along is the “insane asylum” (Kleppur), more properly known as the “Icelandic psychiatric hospital”.
I stumbled upon what may have been a homeless person’s place.
More random things lurking in the “forest”.
The trail of things led all the way out of the area, but I saw nobody about.
The Blue Prince video game still held my interest…

Confirmation-party-time!
The youngest of good friends had been confirmed that day, and that was a good reason to celebrate!
They clean up nice!
At 18:30 it was still plenty bright outside to prime some wood for staining!
What I was using. It’s water-based, which means cleaning is a breeze.

The finished frames returned to their spot.
Bjarki called me from the road, telling me the side mirror of the car was wiggling furiously. I drove to him, and yes, the mirror glass had come loose! That was a little too exciting.

The plastic leg-end of one of the chairs had broken off. Not great.

All by myself in a meeting room!
We found ourselves downtown, as we had a dinner reservation with some friends.
There was zero wind.
The restaurant.
It was a preset three-course menu, from some offer we’d bought many months prior. The soup was lovely.
The beef, however, was atrocious. It had a sour taste to it, and the chef was baffled, as it was freshly unpacked. Probably the worst beef I’ve ever had in a restaurant. I’d stick to fish there.
Dessert was fine though.
