Bjarki Turns 14 Years Old!

Bjarki’s long awaited birthday finally appeared and he’s now officially 14 years old, and busy checking ever more boxes on the “stereotypical-teen checklist”.

We again held two parties, one for each family, a few days apart, in between life as usual. (25-ish images total)

The birthday boy!
Earlier that day, Emma had begun attending the half-day “Animals and art” camp where each day they got to cuddle and care for a different animal. After lunch she attended horse camp.
My family was up first, as were hamburgers and hot-dogs!
The usual kitchen pandemonium.
About to valiantly sit through the Happy Birthday song… (Anna made the cake as usual)
Cousins eating cakes and other sweets.
The hot tub was opened up, and a water war broke out. A few kids went home in clothes that needed a new home anyway!
The adults avoided the water!

Marveling at the color coordination between my bruised stubbed toe, and the (somewhat old) nail-polish. It put a stop to any jogging attempts for 2-3 weeks.

As summer vacation became tantalizingly close to happening, I began stopping at a cafe on my way into work (yes, I occasionally began actually going into the office).
Picking Emma up from camp #1, feeding her, then driving to camp #2.
Anna’s sugar-snap-peas doing well!

Anna magicked forth another yummy birthday-cake, as this was birthday-party-day #2.

There were a lot of last-minute cancellations, but we forged ahead anyway, and ate Mexican chicken soup together. Then it was time for cake and ice-cream!
