After our fun ski trip, it was mostly back to life as normal, except for hosting Emma’s birthday party #2, going out to dinner, aaaand a sudden rise in earthquake activity close by (that would culminate in an actual volcanic eruption a month later!). (25-ish images)

The weather was extra-gorgeous for the weekly outing during Emma’s piano lesson.
Muddy. I’m sure this path gets wider every year as people avoid the mud.
That pond is nicely placed!

This caught my eye, as we used to visit Fry’s quite a bit back when we lived in CA. I was especially fond of the Fry’s with the sinc-function on the front of the building.
In other news, yet another earthquake swarm started up, with lots of 5+ quakes (which was new), somewhat unnervingly close to the capital area. It would keep going for weeks, culminating in an actual volcanic eruption on 19 March 2021!

With daylight stretching longer and longer, this day was deemed appropriate for taking down the outside yule-lights.
Earthquakes kept rumbling. The intensity curve reminded me of a discharging capacitor.

We were slightly surprised when an airplane appeared in front of one of the houses behind ours. It didn’t stay long though. 🙂
We went out to dinner…

Finnur and Emma went north-ish to check on house #2, I stayed behind and took stock of various things, like the tempera paint.

At my current go-to-cafe for blogging. It was super busy that morning, as regulations had been relaxed a bit.

I was in a mood for crepes.

We had a pretty good crowd!
Finally, opening the remainder of the presents!
